Sásta - Skincare Microbiome Serum

Sásta is a new brand that is a skin health serum that feeds the skin microbiome and strengthens its natural immunity.

The Task

The roots of the Sásta story lie in founder and skin educationalist Michelle McDonald’s own family experiences. Michelle’s interest in the skin’s microbiome led to the formulation of a serum that helped friendly skin bacteria thrive with an exciting synergy between gut and skin health.

A new name, brand identity and packaging was required.

 

The Process

Working with all Michelle’s knowledge and ideas, the brand was given a distinctive brand positioning. This informed naming and a visual look and feel that could guide the branding and packaging.

Sásta - which in Irish means happy or fulfilled - was the name settled upon together with a distinctive look and feel that gave the brand a friendly yet clinical feel using a unique green to highlight its Irish credentials and commitment to sustainability. The branding and pack graphics were also developed together with a hierarchy of information that clearly presented the idea of the Sásta product and its benefits.

A visual world for the brand was finalised which now guides all marketing communications.

The Result

Launched in June 2022, the brand is now developing its D2C platform before looking at retail listings in 2023.
