Remi - Proactive Scalpology

Crafting Scalp Harmony

Claire Fullam’s proactive scalpology redefines haircare.

The Task

After Claire’s own experience of total hair loss (all has now returned), she developed a haircare regime that proactively protects your hair, and its scalp first - always!

This was a brand that needed a name and some education to help people really understand the secret of enduring hair health.

The Solution

Remi wanted to be seen as the ‘educator’ in how best to look after the long term health of your hair - whoever you are. We reviewed haircare (and skincare brands too) that were good at talking about their products, their ingredients and what they did.

Collaborating with Claire, we developed a brand idea around championing salon clinic results for scalp and hair health. The name Remi (derived from "Remedy") was chosen emphasising science led formulations that were clinically proven. This gave us licence to explore ideas from the medical to the more professional salon ends of the creative spectrum. A range of design executions were developed that considered how various branding treatments could present each of the four products, what they did and the results they achieved in a way that was informative but which didn’t overwhelm the front of the packs.

Developing Remi's distinct language set the tone, influencing the product names such as Bye Bye Build Up (exfoliator), Daily Anchor (AM scalp serum), Density Drop (overnight scalp serum) and The Magnet (detox shampoo). Bold typographic and colour combinations enabled the product information to be easily navigated using a distinctive ‘grid' system. A set of icons allowed us to highlight key features, extending the narrative onto the packaging and beyond, delving deeper into the story behind each product.

The Result

Launched in November 2023, listings have been achieved in hand picked hair salons. Online orders so far have been encouraging. Strong, healthy, enduring brand growth lies ahead - much like the Remi regime for haircare.
