Natural Protection Without Compromise

Previously known as The Mosquito Company, Camo needed a new name, identity and packaging system with the power to drive growth and attract major retail stockists.

The brief was to create something short, memorable and ownable, a brand with instant recognition, clear consumer messaging and the confidence to stand out in a competitive insect repellent category.

The Task

Inspired by camouflage, Camo was developed as a bold new brand built around protection, nature and visibility where it matters most.

We created a simple, iconic name and a distinctive visual system using layered botanical patterns to form a camo effect across pack. Each product range was given its own clear colour world, helping consumers navigate the range quickly while giving the brand strong standout on shelf.

The DEET-free proposition was brought forward through simple, confident messaging, positioning Camo as a more natural choice for consumers looking for effective everyday protection.

The Idea

We also extended the brand off pack through Instagram content, creating a flexible suite of social assets covering product education, lifestyle messaging and clear consumer benefits. This helped Camo build a consistent brand world beyond the shelf.

The Result

Since relaunch, Camo has secured a major distributor and achieved a listing in Boots, successfully launching the brand into a key national retail environment.

The response from retailers has been highly positive, with strong feedback on the new name, packaging design and shelf impact. The brand now has a clearer proposition, stronger presence and a more ownable platform for future growth.
